Added a bit more to a few fan-fictions this weekend in between cleaning house and working on editing my novel. Aftereffects is starting to shape up, I just need to decide if I really want Clint Barton to die or if he is going to get saved at the last minute. And comic book timelines are making my head hurt, make up your minds people! They cannot even decide how old certain characters are.

Trying to not let myself go crazy while editing since I keep finding scenes that I want to re-write. Currently fighting with the fight scenes to get the tenses right and the action less rote and clunky.

Never worry about time or age unless you need to make them old. Other than that, always assume they’re between 25 and 35 unless otherwise stated.

Dying is rough, it means you can’t really make more stories unless you (MARVEL STYLE) resurrect the character.

Yeah, but Clint has already been so many other characters. I am tempted to have him disappear and turn up as Ronin or some of his other versions.

For this story I am probably going to have Thor step in with magic at the last minute. I really want to have Clint massively against it since everything was caused by magic in the first place and who knows what the effects this might have in the long run. And could have a second story arc with those effects 😉

I do have a great idea for the funeral but yeah, probably not going to use it.

Magic at the last minute works, especially since Loki’s magic is what did it. That makes sense. You could still do a funeral, too.

It just feels wrong to do that since it was probably done with Coulson. Putting them through that again just seems like being cruel.

Also, crazy re-editing is normal. That’s why you should leave it and come back to it after a day, see if you need to re-do or if it’s sufficient.
