Trees

One of the trees had grown at an angle to the other two, its trunk peering through the foliage of its nearest neighbor like a large, misplaced Christmas ornament. It would be the only christmas ornament here this winter. She had ran from her life this Christmas to spend the month at the coast. Here in this minimal comfort cabin she would mourn for a month or two before bills forced her back to work and home.
